Instrumental Ensemble
Instrumental Ensemble provides the opportunity to study music by playing
an instrument. No previous experience is necessary to join in learning to
play various sizes or recorders, chordal, and percussion instruments, and
learning to read music.
Sing Out
Students in this class will develop a general and personal repertoire of
songs. Building on vocal techniques and styles studied, the emphasis will
be on singing for fun. Different types of songs will be explored, ranging
from pop to classical.
Music Appreciation
Students learn about and experience different musical genres including
classical, jazz, blues, Broadway musicals, rock, and folk, among others.
Sight Singing, Fun and Easy
Singing is fun. Reading music is easy. Combining the two leads a singer on
the road to musicianship. We will study the art of singing through the
written form of music.
Storytelling with Music
Students will learn how to tell a story so that others will listen. This
will combine the art of storytelling with music. They will utilize
well-known folk tales and create tales of their own. No previous
experience or classes are necessary to join in the fun. |
